The former Diplomat Golf & Tennis Club in Hallandale Beach has undergone a major transformation into a luxury golf and residential destination now associated with Shell Bay. Located around 500–501 Diplomat Parkway, the property encompasses a large waterfront setting with golf, residential, hospitality, marina, wellness, dining, and recreational components.
The original redevelopment plan included a 30-story residential building with 250 units as part of a larger approximately $650 million master plan. That residential component has since been completed, while additional portions of the original development plan have evolved over time. The broader property has also undergone substantial improvements, including redevelopment of the golf course and recreational facilities.
Today, the destination is centered around a Greg Norman-designed championship 18-hole golf course, complemented by extensive practice facilities, a private racquet club, marina, dining, wellness, and social amenities. The setting combines mature tropical landscaping and waterways with a private club environment in the heart of Hallandale Beach.
A newer residential and hospitality component, The Residences at Shell Bay by Auberge Resorts Collection, is being developed at 501 Diplomat Parkway. This separate 20-story development includes 108 branded residences and a 60-room hotel, with its debut currently planned for 2027. Residents will have access to the championship golf course, private yacht club with a 48-slip marina, racquet facilities, spa and fitness amenities, dining, pools, and other private club services.
The property is conveniently situated near Hallandale Beach, Gulfstream Park, Aventura Mall, Hollywood Beach, restaurants, shopping, marinas, and major South Florida destinations, with easy access to both Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
